Advising the UNDP’s Africa Mini Grid Programme

Moving the needle on mini grid deployment

We are currently serving as an expert advisor on the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)’s African Mini Grids Programme (AMP), providing technical assistance for the design and roll-out of mini grid programs in ten countries (Ethiopia, Djibouti, Somalia, Eswatini, Malawi, Burkina Faso, Comores, Nigeria, Sudan and Madagascar). We are delivering technical advice and hands-on assistance for designing nine national AMP projects funded by the Global Environment Facility. Throughout this work, we are creating supportive environments for mini grids through national delivery models and policy advisory. We’re offering capacity building at the national level, designing cost-reduction pilot projects for mini grids, and are developing innovative financing mechanisms to support business and delivery models.
